This barbecue sauce is dedicated to the memory of my grandfather Daddy Hern. Back in the 1930's, family and friends from the Trenton Tennessee area would gather once a month at my grandfather's house for a good old backyard country barbecue. It was a time to get together for fun and relaxation. A time to unwind and leave your cares and troubles behind. The mood was always lively and festive. There was plenty of food to eat with everyone bringing their favorite dish. However, the highlight of the event was Daddy Herns' Barbecue Sauce. People would walk for miles just to get a taste of his special sauce. This special sauce is now made available for you to enjoy as a dip or a basting sauce for your favorite meats.
